O CINEMA E AS POSSIBILIDADES DE REPRESENTAÇÃO DA MEMÓRIA
Abstract
Inicio evocando o cinema, um dos lugares de ancoragem da memória a partir do final do século XIX, com um trecho do filme Amador (Amator, 1979), do cineasta polonês Kryztof Kieslowski. A obra retrata o cotidiano de um jovem operário que compra uma câmera amadora, que funciona com rolos de filmes, para registrar os primeiros passos de sua filha recém-nascida. Ele se empolga com o equipamento e passa a filmar a rotina de seus amigos e vizinhos, até que é convocado para filmar eventos em seu local de trabalho. Certo dia este empolgado cineasta do cotidiano registra uma senhora na janela de seu apartamento. É uma imagem de alguns poucos segundos de duração. Tempos depois esta mulher morre. O cineasta então presenteia o filho dela com uma lata que preserva o pedaço de filme com as preciosas imagens da idosa. Ao receber a lata, o filho emocionado reconhece que aquilo é tudo que ficou da existência de sua mãe.
