Abstract

This study demonstrates that, where in 60 years Brazil sees an artistic movement called Tropicalismo exponents had as Helio Oiticica, Glauber Rocha and Jose Celso Martinez Correa. With regard to Brazil, the establishment of the military coup of 1964 the country underwent a period that was marked by authoritarianism, annulment of constitutional rights, persecution, imprisonment, torture and censorship of media and artistic events. The Brazilian popular music festivals served as a space for dissemination of protest songs that sought to express sentiments against the political regime in an attempt to inform the population about the political and economic problems experienced by the country.Ouvir
