They were initially identified 42 articles, 10 articles were selected. Was used summary table and the presentation of results and discussions were descriptively. The main feelings of the family front to the birth of premature birth and very low birth weight were fear, sadness, insecurity, powerlessness, anxiety, and may be accompanied by positive feelings such as joy for the birth of the child, hope, love and optimism. The religion was an important factor in overcoming the adversities experienced. It is necessary that professionals know how to recognize these feelings and so intervene to minimize the negative feelings and preference for positive feelings, as well as establish forms of communication and interaction with family members, promoting the participation of parents in assisting, guiding and encouraging them to play and care for their children.Downloads
