Jovens periféricos e a pouca identificação com instituições democráticas

Abstract

In recent years, precisely from 2013, it was noticed that middle and upper class young people took to the streets in search of their rights, however, among these young people, those from the periphery were isolated without having a notion of their rights as citizens. The main objective of this work is to deal with the issue of identification of young people from the periphery, about their low identification in the political scenario of the country. It is proposed to present some reflections about the lack of interest of these young people in relation to the country's politics, with an alienation to the issues that arise in the social environment, without a notion of their rights. It will seek to understand which mechanism leads the young person to dismiss himself in this way and not perceive the rights that fit him as a citizen and the way to fight for them, through bibliographic research from the point of view of social questioning. Thus, building a paradigm in relation to what leads young people from the periphery to isolate themselves from the political context and stay on the sidelines of the discussion of social interests.
