Abstract

The article deals with the teaching of philosophy and its presence in the curriculum throughout the history of educational policies. The work is the result of bibliographical research and aims to analyze the errors that involve the process of inclusion/exclusion of philosophy in the educational curriculum, reflecting on the possible impacts on human formation, and, consequently, on society. The historical hypothesis is presented that due to its critical essence and problematizing character, the teaching of philosophy is seen by the dominant forces as a subversive knowledge of the constituted order, and therefore, it suffers countless attacks resulting from the tensions and power disputes surrounding the public education policies.
