Abstract

Abstract

This study presents the theme of sustainable rural development, focusing on the application of photovoltaic solar technology in Brazil. Using a qualitative methodology, the research addresses key concepts, relevant documents, and government data, highlighting the growing importance of photovoltaic energy in Distributed Generation and its role in sustainable development on rural properties. It is concluded that photovoltaic applications in the agricultural sector have significant potential to address environmental issues and contribute to sustainable rural development.
