Abstract

This paper offers an exploratory analysis of discursive fragments extracted from interviews (primary sources) aiming to evaluate the central perspectives exposed by historical and social actors chosen by their ties with the borderer ambience or by their knowledge and experience with borderer subjects, as well as its surrounding populations. The research problem stands around the controversy about the rural issue which concerns the east region of Paraguay, largely situated in the border security zone, and, therefore, demands a comprehension on how the territorialization of this borderer space contains cultural elements which are developed by different ethnicities accordingly to the common objectives of these communities. The obtained results present the cultural blend as a product built by characters external from the country where large part of this population resides.
