Abstract

The Reception Aesthetics modified the traditional hierarchy of Literary Theory by taking turns in emphasizing or text or the context, dislocating the  greater motivation of the literary object in the instance of the reception, that means the reader. Following this tendency, Maria da Gloria Bordiniand  Vera Teixeira de Aguiar have formulated the Receptional Method, which serves as basis for the instructional sequence presented in this study. Focusing on students of the 7th grade, this proposal emphasizes the stimulus to the reception of literary texts, beyond the opening afforded by its horizons discussion.
