Abstract

The works of Russian Mikhail Bakhtin has become known in the West in the final

decades of the twentieth century, despite being written in the beginning. The integration of the

concepts carnivalization, dialogism and polyphony emerged in Brazil, with discussion still soft, in

the 1980s and gained volume in the coming years, making it of great theoretical bias effect. The

purpose of this paper is to address these concepts, quickly, instigating further research more

deeply.
