This is an integrative review, in order to synthesize national scientific production on the legal demands for access to actions and health services, from 2005 to 2015. Data were collected on electronic database Latin American and Caribbean Sciences health and library Scientific Electronic Library on Line. They analyzed 26 publications grouped by similarity of content: health actions and services required; negative effects of the legalization of health; positive effects of legalization of health and strategies and actions to improve access to health and reduction of litigation. The drugs were the main objects of study of the analyzed articles. The lawsuits in health indicated failures in management and public health policies, as well as deepen the inequities of access in the public health system. On the other hand, the lawsuits guarantee the exercise of the right to health.
