Abstract

The work we will present in the following pages has as its main problem the study of the way in which different subjects in society are spatially organized, having as reference the territoriality of such subjects. With the study of the advent process, growth, structuring, conflict, unionization and regulation of mototaxi activity in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu, we can evaluate how this activity, and its practitioners, organize the territory, creating a more diverse human landscape, inserting It is in a developing territoriality, with the chaotic rhythm of the dynamics of a metamorphic frontier, and what are the forces that arise to curb such an organization and / or to discipline it along the lines of a changing state (from exercise to exercise). To meet this challenge we will use two main concepts, which are articulated by human dynamics, that of territory and territoriality. The applied methodology is a mixture of field work and bibliographic research, searching among the thousands of municipal laws in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, which dealt with the theme in focus, the work of motorcycle taxi drivers, trying to understand what we came to call it the state movements, movements that sought to normalize the activity in question to have power over the territory and, at the same time, raise funds for the public coffers, funds from the nascent economic activity. The fieldwork was carried out with the representative of the workers in the mototaxi activity, the president of the union of the category, and his statements could be compared with those of the State, in the figure of the laws that it created since 1997 to face the new activity. As a result we will present our conclusions at the end of the text, making considerations regarding the historical process still underway, the occupation and territorialization made by a new economic activity developed spontaneously, arising from the needs of passengers, on the one hand, and autonomous, by other.
