Introduction: The quality of nursing care is fundamental and intrinsically linked to the Systematization of Nursing Care (SAE), which demands integrated training between theory and practice, as promoted through supervised practical activities in different environments of the health system. Objective: To report the perception of nursing students regarding the technical nursing team's adherence to the nurse's prescription in an Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: This is a descriptive study, of the experience report type, which addresses the experience of nursing students experienced in an Intensive Care Unit of a teaching hospital in the state of Paraná, during Supervised Practical Activities (PHC), developed in September 2023. Results: It showed that PHC brings benefits, allowing the practical application of acquired theoretical knowledge, including SAE, especially nurse prescription, a function exclusive to this professional. However, it was observed that some prescriptions are not properly checked, revealing a weakness in this stage of the SAE. Conclusion: It is inferred that a nurse's prescription is essential to direct and support regulated, individualized and qualified care according to the clinical condition of each patient. However, the lack of checking of some nurse's prescriptions reveals a weakness in the care process. It is suggested, therefore, that continuous educational strategies be carried out to strengthen the importance of nurses' prescriptions and improve the quality of care and that more studies be carried out on this topic in order to increasingly improve nursing care.
