Abstract

This paper investigates sustainability in the supply chain of electronic products in Brazil, focusing on information on reverse logistics provided to consumers in accordance with the current legislation. The study was based on information made available by companies and Law No. 12,305/2010, which establishes the National Solid Waste Policy and Decree No. 10,240/2020, which regulates mandatory reverse logistics for post-consumer electronic waste. This is qualitative research with data obtained from document analysis. The results indicate that, despite most of the analysed companies claim that carry out reverse logistics, the instructions are insufficient and difficult to access, which makes hard for customers to engage. A lack of environmental education initiatives was also identified which indicates failing on complying legislation requirements.
