PROFILE, CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS OF MALE IN SECRETARIAL AREA

Abstract

This research aims to identify the profile and perspectives of academics and Executive Secretary professionals, male, in particular professionals in the south of the country, which play activities related to secretarial area, analyzing what led them to join the career, what difficulties they faced professionally and whether they have suffered any prejudice due to career choice. To achieve this study, a bibliographic research was realized, followed by a field survey. Data analysis was done in a qualitative way, relating to the bibliography used. The research is contextualized through a brief overview of the history of the Executive Secretariat profession, participation and female inclusion in the field, the current profile and the challenges faced by males in the profession. Through the answers obtained, it can be seen that professionals face some difficulties regarding to the recognition of the profession, however there is a great expectation for the same.
