Abstract

This paper seeks to raise the existence of labor demand in the departments of the faculties of the Institute of Technology, Federal University of Pará and the number of servers - technical and administrative staff (secretaries). The expansion of existing courses as well as the inclusion of new courses in this institute happens without senior management plan to increase staff of secretaries within these faculties resulting in overloading the server’s current and implications facing the necessary answers. The results of the questionnaire among students, teachers and secretaries of colleges proves the overhead generated for these secretaries also compounded by the lack of ergonomic adaptations to the physical space where these departments work. There are other points raised, such as the extinction of the bonus function, which is already less directed to these secretaries and the impossibility to fulfill integrally the guidelines outlined in the bylaws related to the functioning of colleges by a single server, which results in hiring fellows within these departments. Demonstrate to policy makers that the lack of quantitative monitoring service provided is a differential that, when analyzed, reframes the provision of service in the institution.
