Abstract

This article aimed at to identify which competences are
demanded by the secretariat professional’s business atmosphere. With
respect to the methodology, it was framed as exploratory-descriptive
and case study tends as universe, a group of secretaries of a company of
the metallurgical section placed in Minas Gerais. The research, also
used to investigate the process of aggregation of value, it seeks to analyze
a quadrant of human capital in which points that the secretary’s activity
is characterized as generating of little joined value, but of difficult
substitution, for stopping a lot of information. It was verified, that there
is explicit need that the secretariat professionals abandon the traditional
model of competences, therefore old, and start to assist to the demand
of the market. It is ended finally, that the processes of solemnityevaluation
of a group of secretariat professionals, compared with the
individual competences requested by the company, they are not applied
partially, once nor all of the aspects that compose these processes are
practiced by most of the professionals, although all consider them
important.
