Abstract

Through morfological analysis in specialized texts, we investigated some issues concerning terminological studies in the Executive Secretariat area and propose an analysis about the process of neologism formation that occurs in texts of that area. This study is developed through the application of morfological knowledge in order to identify new terminological units (TUs) of this specific language in a technical corpus, and analyze the formation process of these terms. Due to the characterization of the secretarial area as a new area of scientific knowledge, we verified the existence of several neologisms formed mainly by the morfosyntactic formation processes and syntagmatic grouping without connectors derived from the basewords “advisory” and “assist”.
