Abstract

This study intends, from the analysis of the character of a teacher in the movie,
“Take the lead” on basis of the studies of the Analysis of the Speech of French line,
to do a reflection on the cause of the constructions of images that the character
produces in the cinema. The paper of the educator is represented by objectives
that go besides impressing the viewers, but that it has in the nucleus of sense of
his speech, social and pedagogic functions for that they long much more than to
present a history motivation. The speech of the teacher consists in proposing an
image to be followed, justified by intentions and actions romanticized by the movie,
what looks for the idealization of this character, so, starts to understand the
posture, the attitudes and the education methods used by him in the history. The
general objective of this study aims for a discursive analysis of the representations
that the feature builds on the teacher, when there is preoccupied by the textual
purposes, by the explanation of the narrated forms and by the speech built on the
basic element of the method teaching-apprenticeship (the teacher).
