THE EVOLUTION OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARIAT: POSSIBLE WAYS FROM THE PROGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND KNOCK THEORETICAL AND CONCEPTUAL AREA

Abstract

The aim of this paper is the assumption that the evolution of a profession can occur from the development of relevant research in the area, suggesting that the recognition of such research should be the key factor for its inclusion in academia for later, as a consequence, lead to advances in the profession used as research focus. Although the profession of Executive Secretariat historically already exists for over a century and undergraduate courses have arisen at least 30 years, scientific research is nascent among professionals. This is due to a number of factors which will be shown throughout the paper. The profession has evolved in the practical sense, following the evolution of the business world, however, it is noticeable the need for conceptual and theoretical developments in the area of ​​Executive Secretariat, which may be realized from well-structured scientific research. This research, quantitative character had the questionnaires targeted to teachers who work in undergraduate courses in the Executive Secretariat, and aimed to illustrate how these teachers have been involved with research and your opinion about the issues that may facilitate or hinder the advances in research on the Executive Secretariat, from graduation. Complementarily utilized part of another study performed by the authors to illustrate participation in extra-curricular activities of students in courses IES Executive Secretariat of the Brazilian public. The findings portray a scenario in growth of research in secretarial, which can be glimpsed from the teaching qualification in the masters and doctoral levels, in which develop their potential as scientific researchers so that later they can devote to a discrete area, as the secretariat. Following these steps may be opportunities to carry out interdisciplinary research, a current trend that demonstrates proven to be the way for the recognition of solid research results, since the insertion of distinct areas in research requires in-depth analysis and higher across knowledge, adding value to the result constructed.
