ADOLESCÊNCIA LGBTQIAPN+ NO FILME “HOJE EU QUERO VOLTAR SOZINHO”

Abstract

The experiences of the LGBTQIAPN+ community in Brazil, beyond the pride parades and other public demonstrations around the affirmation of sexual and gender diversity, are also traversed by violence. The mainstream media portrays the crimes committed, as well as theater and cinema, highlighting the challenges imposed by a cisheteronormative society that imposes itself vigilantly on the elderly, adults, adolescents and children. With this in mind, the aim of this paper is to understand the expressions of violence against LGBTQIAPN+ teenagers, based on the feature film “Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho” observing its expressions in the family and school spheres. The film analysis seeks to break down the scenes and speeches of the main characters, Leonardo and Gabriel, in order to recompose them in a critical socio-historical framework.  In the end, it emerges that although violence against adolescents is penalized by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), when it comes to LGBTQIAPN+ adolescents like Leonardo and Gabriel, there is a lack of action on the part of the state, the family and civil society.
