Abstract

The aim of this article is to show the profile of students on the Social Work course at Unioeste-PR Francisco Beltrão campus in 2018, focusing on the issue of working students and how this aspect influences their relationship with dedication and satisfaction with the course. To this end, the Workshop V subject was used, which was made available to the students and together with them the methodology and data analysis were developed, based on statistical foundations applied to the social sciences. Collectively, the questionnaire was applied and the answers were compiled into an analytical mask for subsequent data analysis. The results validated the hypothesis that the majority of academics are workers and that work has an impact on the quality of the teaching and learning process. This raises questions for improving the course, including: expanding study, research and extension grants for the course; as well as a possible change to the evening period.
