Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to analyze, through dialogue between the literary and historical issues, the tensions between collective memory and historiography speech in novels Yaka (1984) and Lueji – o nascimento de um império (1989), by Pepetela. Without disregard the theoretical and methodological issues that define and delimit such epistemological fields, we will seek ways to note that the author re-establishing intrinsic collective character to Angolanity project, deconstructing the univocal the center and giving way to the subjects evaded the official historiography during centuries of portuguese colonization.
