THE EDUCATIONAL POLICES PUBLIC FOR THE BRAZILIAN PENITETIARY SYSTEM AS A RESOCIALIZATION MEASURE

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify educational policies and the Brazilian penitentiary system. The methodology consisted of a bibliographic study of books, articles and regulations, as well as research on the panel of data on penal inspections in prisons and on the report of a national survey of prison information - Infopen. The results showed that the penal model with penitentiary systems evolved gradually in Brazil. There are regulations in force for people deprived of their liberty, ranging from criminal enforcement to the provision of education and compulsory work, with rights being foreseen and the principles of human dignity guaranteed. The Infopen results showed that it is necessary to expand student assistance, school instruction and professional training in penal establishments. Although recent, public educational policies aimed at student assistance in the Brazilian penitentiary system are essential for people deprived of their liberty as a measure of resocialization.

Bacharel em Direito - Faculdades Integradas Pitágoras / FIP (2004-2008), possuo especialização lato sensu em Direito Processual - Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros / UNIMONTES (2010-2012) e em Tecnologias para Educação Profissional - Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Santa Catariana / IFSC (2020). Atuei como conciliador no JESP na Comarca de Janaúba - Tribunal de Justiça de Minas Gerais (2010/2013). Tenho experiência jurídica na área de Direito Civil, na realização de audiências de conciliação e instrução. Atualmente Mestrando em Educação / PPGEFB pela Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (2022).
