Abstract

The present research is an analysis of the deforestation that has been occurring in the state of Para, devastating the Amazon Rainforest of the state, using mappings using secondary GIS data bases for analysis of geographic data. The objective is to analyze deforestation processes and actions by the government to minimize environmental degradation in the state, through the use of geoprocessing applied to the generation of map in secondary databases to those of the PRODES and DETER Project. To this end, a quali-quantitative analysis was carried out, consultation, collection and analysis of bibliographic and documentary cartographic data in digital media, verification of data in the field, and application of methodology for the construction of map with shapefile layers in the generation of the deforestation map in the QGis 3 software. The survey presents results that point to emergency actions to combat deforestation, and the need to support environmental and technological agencies, to improve the infrastructure and quality of its monitoring services, which geotechnologies must be focused on alerts, and actions to reduce the rates of deforestation and fires, which, together with the update of ecological-economic macro-management as a management tool, can contribute to sustainable public and social policies in the state of Para, Brazil.
