Adapting to climate change is a challenge in both global and local levels. The goal of this study was evaluating the existing challenges and opportunities in the climate adaptation context to the Recôncavo Identity Territory. The methodology adopted bibliographical research and data analysis of IBGE database. Afterward, a SWOT matrix was elaborated. The strong points found were communication by radio and TV, and the initiatives of prevention against climate problems in the livestock sector. However, among weak points to be overcome, lack of municipal database stands out and also low articulation among municipal departments in the development of institutional actions. These and other aspects are pointed out in this study, evidencing insights for a better governamental planning to deal with climate change impacts in Recôncavo Territory.Downloads
