ENERGY ANALYSIS OF THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES

Abstract

This main goal of this article is to perform an energetic analysis of Buenos Aires city for the year 2020, calculating exergetic efficiency and the CO2 emission, for this, a survey was carried out in the historical and urban context of the city, highlighting some of the most influential sectors of the city. The methodology was presented, which consists in four stages for carrying out the work, the first stage defines the control volume, after which a survey of data on mass and energy flows is made. Therefore, with the data obtained, the input and destroyed energy and exergy are calculated for the different types of fuel in the city. Finally, the calculation of the efficiency of cities and the calculation of CO2 emissions from fuels was performed. The results showed that the city of Buenos Aires has an energy efficiency of 14,9% and a CO2 emission of 3482090,7 tons.
