Abstract

Environmental Education, within the school syllabus, is of great interest, due to the current context of the planet, climate change resulting from human action and the loss of biodiversity because of the predatory habits of our species. In this context, we sought to analyze the practices of environmental action with students of the elementary school of a Municipal School in Serranópolis do Iguaçu, in the west of Paraná, through reforestation, in some properties, even of the students. The objective of this study was to analyze and discuss the results of the pedagogical experience lived by the students involved and bring up the discussion of the teaching-learning process and its importance in the environmental action practices of schools, ensuring that such practices exert influence from childhood. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach, with an exploratory objective, focusing on the analysis of the interview contents of the teachers involved, as well as on the students' responses to questionnaires. The main results found were positive in most of the hypotheses questioned, related to the students. However, there is still a gap regarding family awareness, in the practice developed.
