About the Journal

Focus & Scope

The Journal of Literature, History and Memory, a semiannual publication of the Council of Modern Languages and the Graduate Program in Modern Languages of the Western Paraná State University, receives articles and essays, according to the journal's guidelines, for the composition of its next issues. The project welcomes original and unpublished manuscripts of interest to the scientific community. The journal is organized into one dossier, according to calls for publication, and a thematic section entitled "Research in Letters in the Latin American Context and Literature, Teaching, and Culture", contemplating the lines of research of both Undergraduate and Graduate programs.  The journal was created based on the themes and research disseminated in the first editions of the National Seminar on Literature, History and Memory, a permanent event in the academic calendar of scientific and cultural activities of the Graduate School of modern Languages and the Graduate Program in modern Languages of UNIOESTE - Cascavel Campus. Linked to the research group "Confluences of Fiction, History, and Memory in Literature and in Diverse Languages", the editorial project intends to contribute to academic development, motivating the participation of external researchers, students, and graduates in scientific activities, in order to encourage reflection on readings that aim to unveil the human being and its representations in different areas of knowledge.
