Abstract

This article presents a brief mapping of the literary productions included in the magazine Poesia Sempre, from the Biblioteca Nacional, based on a project developed in IEB/USP that seeks implications on themes, aesthetics and influences that have permeated it since the initial volume on Semana de Arte Moderna (1993) to the modernisms that it emanated. We seek to point out some cosmopolitan features present there, insofar as the magazine's motto is the imperative desire to dialogue with neighboring countries and other continents. Regarding the representation of culture in it’s shared meanings, we present a dialogue with Stuart Hall taking into consideration the researcher's investigations in contact with Barthes, Foucault and Saussure, among others. Finally, we demand a look at the past incorporated into the present amidst so many contemporary productions in which literature seems to gain a new political and aesthetic scope. To this end, we start from the reflections of François Dosse, in order to confront what he says is “the privilege of the dust of recent non-hierarchized archives” (2012), based on the success of the research when dialoguing with different areas of knowledge, among them, Literature itself. Therefore, Poesia sempre stands as the initial driving force for such investiment.
