Abstract

Unraveling the impacts occurring within peasant resulting from the expansion of palm oil production in the Northeast Pará is what we seek in this article. Between the years 2011 and 2013, traveled six rural communities in the municipalities of Bujaru and Concórdia do Pará. To collect data and analyze reports institutional documents (INCRA, EMBRAPA). However, the primary stage of the research was the realization of field work, when we get closer and experience the daily life of the research subjects. Our data induce us to think that the capital has pushed farmers to ensure the subjection of income from land to capitalism, the peasants in turn have reacted and fought to remain living off the land and building their autonomy.
