CRITICISM PROCESS PROFILE EMERGENCY METALLURGICAL ANALYSIS YOUNG ADULT ABC PAULISTA: REVISITING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF E.P THOMPSON

Abstract

In this article we will discuss, based on the contributions of E.P. Thompson, the profile of the "new generation flexible" found in companies in the ABC Paulista region, their habits, their daily life and moral values of the defining traits of this new social metallurgical segment. We are interested in apprehending the reasons of the conflicts between the "new generation flexible" workers and the "old guard" in light of "lived and acquired experiences" that are  part of  the elements of subjectivity of the  "flexible generation" workers. In contrast to the economic / mechanistic interpretation of history, we will examine the process of flexibilization of the production process looking bare the elements, related to workers' daily lives, that are on the base of the definition of the personal life processes, distinct and guidable historical collective trajectories of the divergent attitudes related to the moral values and standards of conduct inside the way of doing-living-realizing of this new segment of the proletariat.
