Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze is to verify the existence of the spatial relation between the benefit granted by the family Grant Program and the poverty rate in the municipalities of Santa Catarina. The methodology used was the Exploratory Analysis of Spatial Data (ESDA). The results reveal the existence of positive spatial autocorrelation between variables; in this case the municipalities that showed high (Low) average transfer of “Bolsa Familia” program are surrounded by cities with large (low) the average transfer value of the “Bolsa Familia” Program. The coefficient I Moran positive indicates the existence of positive autocorrelation among the transferred average value of social “Bolsa Família’ program and the poverty rate, where poverty is the most beneficial medium is also higher. High- high cluster in the west and north and low-low in the east and central were observed.
