Abstract

In order to develop the social aspect of the territory, we propose a short comparative study to illustrate the rich issues which are occurring with the regional analysis starting on the great national sets like Brazil and Canada.  The territorialisation is based then not necessarily on the limited resources but on cultural legitimacy (the protection of living and exploiting space), of historical space, the ownership of the places, the specific difference as much geographical than sociological. From there, contemporary concepts of sustainable development and regional governance for sustainable resources of the land are much appropriated future channels.
