UMA ANÁLISE DO DESENVOLVIMENTO DO SETOR EXTERNO NOS PAÍSES DO MERCOSUL ATRAVÉS DE INDICADORES DE COMÉRCIO INTERNACIONAL

The point of this study was to analyze, infer and compare the performance of the external sector, of economies from the Mercosur, assessing the impacts in the progress of regional integration and trade. To this was calculated the index of development of the foreign sector. As a result, observing the four countries, are obvious disparities in the block. However, there is a common development, to increase the importance of trade for the four economies, especially after the opening up of the continent experienced, besides the progress of integration within the Mercosur, from the 1990s. Even the second good part of literature consulted, the performance of the external sector in these countries, in the absence of MERCOSUR would be worse. The analyzed data show that, in general, these economies are on the way to integration into the global market and to react more like the international context is presented.
