Abstract

The diversity of actors which compose the process of scientific and technological research, their different interests and multiple forms of interaction provide several interesting elements to study the way in which the innovative process is organized, mainly regarding the way newly generated knowledge is appropriated. In the case of the seed markets of soy, corn and wheat, these issues are highly present, mainly due to the significant changes taking place in the technical-scientific, institutional and legal environments. Understanding such issues enables the elaboration of policies aimed at strengthening the Sectorial System of Science, Technology and Agricultural Innovation.
