THE REGIONAL ELITES POLITICS: CONTRIBUTION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLANALTO MÉDIO OF THE RIO GRANDE DO SUL’S STATE, BRAZIL

This article tried to demonstrate how regional political elites acted in the setting of time covering a time line between the years 1930 to 1945. We made an approach concerning the social, political and economic factors that facilitated the development and growth of this region or by filling the gaps left by national history with documents, news, notes and insertions that demonstrate the features and local identity. We conclude that the political elites were part of the institutional context in a direct or indirect, and gave support to the government, especially federal, while the economic elites worked in various sectors of society, especially in different occupations and professions.Downloads
