Abstract

The objective of this work was to analyze and compare the results of the activities developed by Regional Development Secretaries (SDR) with objectives of the administrative policy of decentralization of Santa Catarina, implanted in 2003. For this reason eleven of thirty-six SDR in different regions of the State. Considering regional differences, it has been observed that there is concentration of resources in the capital region and in other economically developed regions near the coast of the state. However the SDR the countryside of the state has received investments but it has been not enough to development them.
