Abstract

This paper presents a mathematical model for the optimization of multimodal transport logistic for agricultural products by Center West corridor. The tool was developed in a context of three broad research projects financed by FINEP and accomplished by a group of universities. The model, generically known as Multicommodity Minimum Cost Flow Problem, considers the optimization of a net flow of sugar, alcohol, corn, soybean, soybean oil, soybean meal and wheat. It was efficient to evaluate potential of multimodality utilization. The analyses allow important subsides to selection of locals to receive investments in equipments or infrastructure to operate with multimodality. The results also suggest the zones to better collect cargo in the different transport modals (rail, waterway, pipeline).
