Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine the scenario of migration and development of western regions from Paraná Statel; through land re-concentration and educational qualifications from 1950 to 2000. At work we analyze the profile of immigrant-headed households in the area arguing that initially were holding a low profile educational qualification. But with the modernization of the countryside, urbanization and the strengthening of secondary and tertiary sectors was a movement in the area of land re-concentration and west parananense has required manpower with higher education level. There was thus a rise in the qualification of immigrants, primarily the result of reducing the opportunities for integration caused by extensive depletion of the occupation of the region. So, as individuals migrate when and where you envision better opportunities, and given that the qualification requirements in western regions, rose, low-skilled immigrants have reduced their participation in the integration process in the area by proportionally increasing the participation of the Heads more educated family in total movements directly influenced the fact that regional development.
