Abstract

This article acclaims to analyze the impact of some public policies adopted during the administration of José Mujica in Uruguay, emphasizing the decriminalization of the abortion and the regulation of the marijuana, about the Brazilian digital media. The wave of liberal measures initiated by Mujica in your government has global repercussion, especially with the approval of the laws 18.987 (lei of the abortion) and 19.172 (lei of the marijuana). Consequently, is in this point where this study focuses, analyzing the repercussion of those law projects in the Brazilian digital media and your influence about the activists movements. The few data about the first assessment of those measures are positives; looking up in the case of the abortion, the released data for the government in 2014 indicate that there was no death in the procedure of the public care service. In the case of the regulation of the marijuana, no data are available yet, because the law will only start to be effective applied in 2015.
