Abstract

The present study focuses on the legislative work of Alfonso X (1221-1284), "Las Siete Partidas", in which I characterize the construction of an ideal model of ruler, just and sapiential. This model is based on some historical and religious aspects that went back to, for instance, King Solomon, as one of the most mentioned exemplary rulers. Such a procedure meets the demands of the context of Alfonso X due to the broader intellectual context of the time.
