DISCURSO E MITO NO FILME O SENHOR DOS ANÉIS: A SOCIEDADE DO ANEL

O presente artigo apresenta resultados parciais de trabalho de mestrado. Consiste em uma análise discursiva do filme O senhor dos anéis: a sociedade do anel, em consonância com o estudo acerca dos mitos perpassados neste filme. Esses se destacam como uma necessidade intrínseca à linguagem; o mito não se opõe à verdade, é entendido como um modo de significação. Elegemos também para nossa análise os princípios concernentes à Análise de Discurso (AD), por propiciarem um arcabouço teórico que nos permite compreender o trabalho da ideologia, o gesto interpretativo, as relações simbólicas entre os sujeitos. Ressaltamos ainda a discussão acerca do discurso midiático, ligado à instância do poder; do cinema, como fato de linguagem, com peculiaridades que possibilitam efeito de sentido em sua composição textual. O cinema dispõe de imagem e palavra, as quais demandam uma organização interna própria, numa relação semiológica. Julgamos a propagação da mídia cinematográfica como um meio propício para a disseminação de discursos. Daí a relevância desta pesquisa. Como aporte teórico, dispomos dos postulados de Barthes (2007), Bernardet (1985), Cassirer (1972), Charaudeau (2007), Foucault (1997a; 1997b; 2003, 2009), Nazario (2005), Orlandi (2008; 2012), Pêcheux (1997), Ramnoux (1977), Tressider (2003), White (2013).
