REFLEXÕES SOBRE O ENSINO DE LÍNGUA INGLESA PARA ESTUDANTES SURDOS BRASILEIROS

Resumo: A língua inglesa está presente em várias áreas de conhecimento, como língua de globalização, do mundo dos negócios, da política, da diplomacia, da internet, da ciência.É considerada como língua predominante para comunicação em todo o mundo, por isso a maioria das escolas adotam o ensino de Inglês como disciplina obrigatória no ensino de
Educação Básica (a partir do sexto ano). Para os surdos esse aprendizado acontece como terceira língua (L3), pois esse sujeito tem a Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) como primeira
língua (L1), reconhecida pela Lei brasileira nº 10.436/2002, por entender que o surdo vivencia o mundo por meio de experienciais visuais, manifestando sua cultura através da modalidade
visual-espacial. A língua portuguesa como segunda língua (L2), na modalidade escrita por ser língua ofcial do Brasil. O presente trabalho ocorreu de forma qualitativa e exploratória
utilizando técnicas de observações de aulas, além do estudo descritivo realizado por relatos dos professores, tradutores intérpretes de Libras e estudantes surdos, para o conhecimento
da realidade educacional dos surdos, bem como uma reflexão sobre as práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas em salas de aula onde acontece o aprendizado da língua inglesa pelos surdos.
