SINAIS TERENA E GRAFOCENTRISMO EM LÍNGUAS DE SINAIS CONTRIBUIÇÕES TEÓRICAS

Tratamos neste artigo de considerações sobre a existência do que chamamos “grafocentrismo” nas línguas de sinais, e com isso focalizamos os sinais terena, de comunidade surda dos terena do Mato Grosso do Sul. Procuramos mostrar que estes sinais não foram, em sua origem, influenciados pela escrita da língua portuguesa, língua majoritária no país, nem pela escrita da língua terena oral, recentemente criada, ou pela escrita de qualquer outra língua oral. Isto mostra, uma vez mais, sua originalidade e aponta para sua autonomia, enquanto sistema linguístico, embora, obviamente, como todo sistema, possa ter empréstimos de todo tipo. Como é sabido, línguas europeias de sinais sofreram a influência da escrita da língua oral majoritária em seu país, como ocorreu, por exemplo, com a língua francesa de sinais, que deu origem, por sua vez, à libras. Os fatores que geraram essa influência são discutidos ao longo do trabalho. Antes disso, porém, apresentamos o povo terena, os surdos terena informantes da pesquisa de SUMAIO (2014) e sinais que eles utilizam.Downloads
