Analysis of the magazine narrative veja about a comunist island

The research results presented in this article aims to understand political and cultural formation at communicational boundaries as consequence of globalization, with reflection on mediations for formation social knowledge about Latin America. In this process of social interactions and conflicts of power, narratives result from strategies for composition of meanings with selection of voices and performance of the characters in political events, in the construction of political and cultural territoriality hegemonic, whose tessiture of the plot, focuses, In this context, in Cuba under communist regime. The methodology employed is the Critical Analysis of the Narrative, focusing on the procedures of the narrators in the configuration of social agents in journalistic diegesis. The Corpus of the Research results from Political plot from Veja magazine, traditional Brazilian weekly, on political coverage of the Latin American country between 2008 and 2010, when approximation with the United States, focusing on the period of presidency changes with disability to rule from Fidel Castro. The conception of a symbolic nucleus of characters as result of strategies construction of the journal's political narrative Veja in defense of the neoliberal model, with a reflection in the economy and regional culture.
