Partindo da centralidade da categoria trabalho, o presente texto, que representa um estudo de caráter conceitual e teórico, explora os limites da compreensão de que a educação é atividade necessariamente emancipadora. Sem a menor pretensão de esgotar o assunto, e, nos limites de um artigo, para realizar esse estudo apoiei-me em considerações de autores clássicos da teoria marxista, que tratam, cada qual com alguma diferenciação terminológica, da questão da educação e sua relação com o processo de emancipação humana, de igualdade ou de desigualdade social. Este estudo resulta na compreensão de que, se os meios não podem contrariar os fins, somente a partir de fins emancipatórios mais amplos é que a educação pode tornar-se atividade também emancipatória, e que isso só é possível na contracorrente da sociedade capitalista, que se utiliza da educação escolar e da educação em geral para internalizar valores correspondentes a uma consciência alienada.Downloads
