A VISÃO DOS ACADÊMICOS DE ENFERMAGEM DO 1º E 4º ANO DE UMA INSTITUIÇÃO DE ENSINO SUPERIOR PRIVADA DA CIDADE DE FOZ DO IGUAÇU SOBRE A ASSISTÊNCIA À SAÚDE DOS SURDOS

Objetivou-se identificar a percepção e conhecimento dos acadêmicos do 1º e 4º ano do curso de enfermagem sobre a assistência a pessoas surdas. Foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva-exploratória. A coleta dos dados ocorreu por meio de um questionário envolvendo perguntas abertas e fechadas. A amostra foi constituída por 30 acadêmicos, sendo que destes 14 eram concluinte e 16 estavam iniciando a graduação. Os acadêmicos, de uma forma geral, compreendem a importância do conhecimento da LIBRAS (Língua Brasileira de Sinais) para prestar assistência de qualidade ao surdo,porém apontam como dificuldade a falta de oportunidade em conhecer esse público e suas necessidades durante o curso de graduação.
