Explorando temas que articulam a sexualidade e violência nas narrativas de Rubem Fonseca e Marcelo Mirisola, argumento neste artigo que elas atualizam a estética do mal e do horror na cultura contemporânea, efeitos narrativos advindos de diversas situações na qual os personagens ultrapassam os limites regulatórios, mesmo frágeis, das fronteiras entre o eu e o outro, envolvendo relações ambíguas e violentas entre subjetividades, corpos e sexo. O horror ganha visibilidade na mistura informe, pois os personagens estão fragilmente separados pela ausência de sínteses que marcam as diferenças de gêneros, de sexo e de cultura. No limite dessa mistura, manifesto nas narrativas por curto-circuitos nos interstícios da tensãoentre o eu e o outro, gerados pelo atrito entre os personagens, a violação aparece como perda das diferenças.
