Deconstruir el concepto de frontera y plantear un enfoque epistemológico de la misma, tomando en consideración fenómenossociales y culturales particulares de la frontera México-Estados Unidos, con la intención de reconceptualizar, repensar y reaprender la dinámica interna en la que incurren los sujetos que la habitan. También es importante enfatizar la necesidad de reconstituir las identidades colectivas y, sobre todo, plantear propuestas de reconocimiento del otro para el establecimiento de políticas públicas que beneficien a las comunidades de ambos lados de la frontera
