Este estudo tem como foco o campo da Educação profissional em Saúde no atual contexto econômico, político e social em que se apresentam projetos educativos, que sob a lógica do capital, são voltados meramente para a adaptação dos trabalhadores às necessidades capitalistas e outros que apontam para a construção de sujeitos críticos capazes de compreender os fundamentos e as contradições do processo produtivo capitalista e de questionar as formas de exploração a que são submetidos. Nesse contexto, as políticas de formação profissional dos trabalhadores de nível médio e técnico para o Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS, têm se constituído em um campo de embates entre diferentes concepções de saúde, trabalho, e educação, que dizem respeito tanto à disposição em proporcionar uma formação ampla e rica, como seguir às determinações das políticas de educação profissional que historicamente tem reforçado as relações capitalistas.
